Marcus Cumberbatch

Mr Cumberbatch is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based in Sheffield and Nottingham. He has a specialist interest in Urological oncology (including robotic surgery) and core urology, having been trained in the UK and Melbourne, Australia.  In 2023, he was awarded the Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons. He is the regional chair for the oncology MDT service and has a high-volume medico-legal practice. Mr Cumberbatch resided on the European prostate cancer guideline panel from 2015 to 2021 and has published >70 research papers. He has been a co-applicant on research grants exceeding £3million investment. This includes the upcoming prostate cancer screening programme in Yorkshire. Outside of work, Mr Cumberbatch is married with 4 children. His passions include snowboarding, basketball, cycling, running, wild swimming, CrossFit and watching the Traitors with family.
