Urine Testing and Drug Testing

Overview

What is Urine and Drug Testing?

Urine and drug testing provides assurances that your team isn’t using performance-enhancing drugs to ensure their health and to maintain the reputation of the club and sport. Through these tests, we can also detect and monitor certain conditions.

How Urine and Drug Testing Works

We test the athlete's blood and/or urine with discretion. The experts examine the sample to flag performance-enhancing drugs and detect conditions affecting the kidneys and diabetes.

What to expect from Urine and Drug Testing

At the test, the athlete will produce a urine sample in a given pot. If the drug test is a blood sample, the healthcare professional will draw blood from the inside of the elbow. This will feel like a sharp scratch. You will have the results in 24-48 hours.

Risks and complications of Urine and Drug Testing

If you are having a blood draw, you risk feeling dizzy or faint. You may also have a bruise at the needle site.

How to recover from Urine and Drug Testing

After the test, you will be able to go straight home.
